The answers really are right under our nose. Whilst many researchers are trying to synthetically create the next big medical innovation, a smaller number uses what nature has already perfected. Doctors at Children's Hospital Boston (*swoon* I would love to work there) took a look at animals, such as slugs and worms, that stick firmly to wet things. What they created is a glue that permanently sticks to wet surfaces such as a bloody heart. It'll be a while before the substance gets FDA approval.
