PillCam - like a GoPro for your colon (AP)

The idea of going on a real-life Magic School Bus ride through my own GI tract sounds fun. For those who can't stand to undergo a colonoscopy (my school's motto is, "Tell every patient to treat themselves to a colonoscopy for their 50th birthday"), there's a camera pill that one can swallow in order to visualize everything in the tube between the mouth and the rectum, the PillCam.
It's a good idea but I would like to see that it visualizes every nook and cranny of the colon. The whole point of a colonoscopy is to go slowly and make sure there's absolutely no suspicious-looking changes on the walls, even if it's itty bitty. Missing something small could mean missing a diagnosis.

Here's a video of the PillCam's trip. It's pretty fun to watch!
Well there went my morning watching The Magic School Bus.

    1. You mean to tell me that looking at digested food isn't your cup of tea?! Hmmm, maybe I should have said, "sounds like a wild ride" and "interesting."
