One of my favorite bloggers revealed that her brother-in-law was diagnosed with incurable lung cancer last year. He is a chief resident of neurosurgery at Stanford... someone, like me, who thinks that diseases happen to everyone but himself. He wrote this poignant reflection for the New York Times on what it is like to understand the intricacies of one's own diagnosis more than the average person.
It's an interesting read and I encourage you to take a look.
