There were some adventures on the way to Kathmandu:
- Peter spilled about a gallon of peanut oil in his backpack on Friday, the day before we left China. Oil stains galore.
- Finding wifi in Hong Kong when you need it is impossible. We were trying to contact one of Peter's friends to store stuff with him just hours before the flight to India. It worked out a mere three hours before we departed.
- We had to sleep on benches in the Delhi airport on an overnight layover. Not fun.
Fun fact: Nepal's time zone is 12 hours and 45 minutes ahead of California right now. After spending the night on some benches in the Delhi airport, we arrived Sunday morning, applied for entry visas at the airport, and forayed into the heart of Nepal's capital city. We're in the process of applying for trekking permits and, in Peter's case, an Indian travel visa. Once all of this is arranged we'll head off to the Anapurna mountains!
