Super Sarah and I treated ourselves to Rose Parade tickets. She just wanted to go and I justified it by saying that it's a reward for getting into medical school. If the Tournament of Roses was not on January 2nd this year - it is never held on a Sunday - then I would not have had the will to wake up early enough to attend and enjoy myself. What a wonderful first-time experience! I hope to camp out for the parade in the future.
